X3 reunion is, aesthetically, an amazing game.
But i could never really get my head around all the trading stuff. Does anyone know if there is a space-sim, which is as good, or better, in terms of graphics, eye-candy, and open worldness as X3 reunion, but without the trading.
Or is it the case that all open-worlded space sims force you to buy and sell stuff, buying and selling things in a game has never really done anything for me.
I suppose I made an exception with Civilziation because of childhood memories of Civ 2.
But in other games especially vast 3D space games with 6DOF its just an annoying impediment.
Just a game where I can explore without all the trading stuff, the trouble is my computer isn't exactly optimized for gaming anyway hence why X3 runs so well, its an old one.

Or, is it just that a game in space where you dont buy/sell things, is an Alien concept to the Gen X'er game developers, who are obbsessed with all things pecuniary.
