I'm also looking for some people to help me debug a personal mod of mine. It's not a public mode; I just play it with friends at LANs or online. However, I seem to have a problem with the ranged bombardment component from Dale's Combat Mod. PM me if you're interested.

I've only just started doing some civ4 models http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?p=8281222#post8281222and I can't quite work out how to add damage states, shaders and animations.

Ive read most of the tutorials on the site (:crazyeye:) but was wondering if you could point me in the direction of a simple do step 1 then do step 2 then do step 3 sort of tutorial.

I normally use wings3d for modelling and photoshop for texturing, The Coyote :king::goodjob:pointed in the direction of blender, and I'm trying to learn how to use it. (I made an animated candle last night :crazyeye::lol: - this is going to take some time)

however ( :)wings3d) - I'm still building USN aircraft at the moment and hope to do an F14 with all bells and whistles and have swept back wings when it is ground attacking and swept forward wings while its in sentry or patrol.

your help would be muchly appreciated

Thanks for your reply, and yes you're right, CAP should probably be done wings swept and it propbably shouldn't carry air to ground ordnance either, but I thought the sweep wing thing would look cool.

I might make an F111 for bombing missions instead.

But back to the question of adding damage textures and shaders, you couldn't point me towards an easy to workout/learn tutorial?

The Coyote posted some info on my F4u1d thread, but I'm still having problems working out just what he meant (and still trying to learn blender so I can do what he suggested)

BTW love the work you've done on other units - feel free to grab any of the ones I've posted up and finish off the damage textures etc - if you think they're worthy

So far theres an F4u1d, F6F, SB2C and a rework of the TBF all without damage and all using the TBF_Avenger kfm. {full credit to the original modeller of the TBF Avenger} I only reworked the texturing on that one.

The F-14D is quite multirole. It wasn't called the Bombcat for nothing.
And it's not so much a case if I think something is worthy or not, it's a matter of time. While I find the process simple, it is time consuming, and I've got college stuff to work on as well.
