XP/7/Vista Disc version on Windows 10 with portable cd drive

Hi All,

I have a disk version of Civ 5 I used to play on my old PC.

I have a new Windows 10 Laptop and a portable cd drive.

a) Is it possible to get this running?

b) without having to cart about and plug in my portable cd drive.

Just a casual player on and off since the original Civ and only have a few hours a week but I'm reluctant to fork out £50 for Civ6 at the moment. Also have Civ4 Cd.
