Yay, a video card upgrade!

Ok, my parents now brought me a brand new video card today, It's a ATI Radeon X1300 Pro with 512 MB DDR2. .

Thats the same card I have!! a word of advice Dark, don't update the drivers ever!! You may end up having to re-install windows like I did.

Or, you boot into safe mode and uninstall the video drivers. then install the new ones. Windows restore is a waste of space and time if you have even a bit of computer knowledge...

I don't know, I have space to blow on my 60 gb hard drive, and restoring, and just going back to the way it was before was easier for me then messing around in safe mode, which I haven't had any reason to use previously. *shrug*

you...had space...on a 60 gig? But seriously, its still a waste of space. The windows install is already bloated, and I see no point in using system resources to further crap up my hard drives. They already have enough stuff on them as is.

Well I don't have any movies, around 20 songs, and 3 (small) games, it's just how I use my computer. For me at least "using up system resources" with restore hasn't had any effect when I've had it on or off, so I leave it on and use what works for me.

I dunno, ive noticed it spinning up my hard drive and using up RAM that can matter at times. It is all just a matter of perspective though. I know enough about computers to know how to make an effective backup without using some generic tool provided by Microsoft.
