The conquest of Rivuauri had begun. The people fell easily, and his alchemists had found a metal called "aurum" in the rivers, as they had been told by the hunter. Many of the men who found this metal shiny and pretty had been willing to barter for this metal...the men called this "tradio" which meant to hand across. The Legislative branch of their highly advanced government had been debating the use of gold for their weapons, but someone found an alternative that was sharper. The men of Rivuauri that they conquered had used these razors of a dull brown metal that worked well. A potential weapon, Marcus's most advanced military personnel and blacksmiths were working on the metal at that very moment. The conquests of Rivuauri and more of Terrasilvae had provided more people for Boreaportae, and the city was thriving with the new tradio.

News Flash: It seems that Catalonia has set her sights on settling Morocco. The United African Empire is in talks with Jaume III, to see how our nations might be able to best help each other in mutually achieving our respective goals.


In other news: Prime Minister Dhoomstriker has long been deliberating how to spend his YCs and has been convinced by the scientific community to invest in advancing to the next Era. While the Prime Minister has questioned the validity of such a move, since apparently one does not need to advance Eras in order to advance Tech Levels beyond Tech Level 1 and because investing in Economic Techs seems to offer a similar gain for a much lower cost, the Chief Scientist has been very persuasive in demands for advancing the Scientific Method, so the Prime Minister has reluctantly acquiesced.


The United African Empire also appears to have temporarily appeased Shaka of the Zulus, perhaps sufficiently to avoid conflict for yet another year.


On the home front, Prime Minister Dhoomstriker has ordered the annexation of nearby territories, bringing additional people into our culture of mutual prosperity achieved through universal effort in our everyday lives and joint commitment in working toward our nation's goals.


Finally, we are pleased to ratify the accepted Open Borders agreement with the Sana'ans. We would also like to announce the acceptance of an Open Borders agreement with the Byzantine Empire. May these agreements help to foster an era of peace with our neighbours.
