I played Planet Hot Wheels before it was taken down, it was freaking awesome. There's no other MMOR(acing) game I have been able to find that remotely paralells it... unless perhaps you've heard of one? :p

Runescape was also fun before I tired of it. Grinding sucks. I don't want to play it if it will take over 15 hours of gameplay to advance a skill :(

I stillhave a level 114 account on there actually

Wikipedia tells me that the Hot Wheels game had over 1 million players!

Pretty good for 2004! Dammit why did they have to take it down? That's a lot of web traffic for them... :(

Tabula Rasa was a lot of fun, but I refuse to pay online fees, so I only played my brothers account. The servers shut down a few months ago, but it had a wicked awesome freaking ending, and it was really cool.

I'll undoubtfully be criticized for saying this, but if you used to play runescape, and haven't played in a year plus, then you really need to go take a peek at the game again.

The amount of change it has gone through is phenomenal. Whether its for better or worse is anyone's decision, but....

Agreed, although I still haven't played too much.

Also: How the hell could you forget Maple Story?

Favorite MMO: Runes of Magic and Perfect World.

I know, Planet Hot Wheels is amazing, there is a petition on the Internet to bring it back, it has over 1000 signatures!

I remember playing Planet Hot Wheels in 1999. I heard that Mattel Media wasn't getting proper funding and so they shut the game down when they went defunct. They didn't even warn the players that they would shut it down, they just did one day and never told anybody. The sad thing is, you can still buy Hot Wheels cars in real life stores that have Planet Hot Wheels codes.

I never heard of Star Trek Universe, unless you meant Star Trek Online, which is not even out yet.

Anyway I do not play any MMOs, though that may change with Star Trek Online since there is supposed to be a PS3 version.

I never got why Runscape got such a bad rap? I honestly thought it was just as good as WOW or any other carbon copy MMO.

I make it a habit not to choose favorite MMO's until I actually play them. Not to say that Star Trek Universe looks cool and might be a blast, I've learned my lesson from eating the hype of a video game, hook, line, sinker, rod and Angler Sports Monthly from Spore.

I have looked at it again. Still no urge to play though.

Took a re-look at the poll options
No EVE ONLINE?

1. Graphics noobs gave it a thumbs-down
2. Not much PVP or Clan/Clan War support (which it now has, to some extent)
3. PVP was shut down (the Wilderness)
4. Free Trade has been shut down
5. It used to have insane amount of gold farming bots
6. Many things (used to be) left unfinished, they were hustled out of the files and onto the game itself before they were actually good... Just added in so Runescape could claim its "weekly updates"
You can call these useless content. For example, the Doregshuun city is a lot of emptiness! Nobody is ever there. It's useless

I'm going through a Lord of the Rings Online phase at the moment, and it's the only MMO I've played that I've felt compelled to keep playing. Naturally it's not on the list :p

I find this quite ironic. Besides, everyone knows wildy only pvp worlds are the exact same, except you can't use it in any get quick rich schemes (or so I've been told)

I disagree, that only happened with summoning, and the city now has a cool agility course!

But why am I dragging this thread off topic?

I'm wondering if KotOR III will be a good MMO. Who knows...

Ragnarok is by far my favorite. I used to play on a 50x server(the official servers are nuts, lol). But then we got overrun by Pinoys =(
I don't think there are any high rate English speaking Ragnarok servers anymore.

City of Heroes. After a hard days' work, there's nothing quite like loading up my spandex-clad alter ego, gathering a team of likeminded individuals and "arresting" bad guys. It might lack things like a traditional endgame, and the "loot", as it were, is very limited, but it's just so much fun that it doesn't matter.

UO and EVE deserve a honourable mentions for being the only two major MMOs that really took advantage of what the genre can be - a true player run world, a sandbox (as opposed to the themeparks of other MMORPGs). Pity UO got absolutely destroyed by the devs, and EVE is just totally incomprehensible :p

I played EVE Online for longer than I like to admit. After it destroyed my college grades and one relationship I called it quits before it destroyed a second relationship.

It is definately the most MM of all the MMOs I've every tried. However it just requires too much time for me anymore.

Oh and ppl talking about racing game MMOs, have you ever heard of Motor City Online? I played that for a year or so before they announced they were closing. That was the best racing game experience I've had.
