Your name on google

If you type your own real name (first and last name) on google, where do you show up? Right at the top of the first page, or perhaps somewhere around the bottom of page seven? Or even not at all?


If I type in my name, only three links show up, the first is to a picture of my class during the first year of High-School (I had no idea that picture was on the web). The second is just a bunch of text and has nothing to do with me, and the third link shows a list of players born 1987/88 who plays in the local football team, one of them is my brother.

If i type my name I just get tons and tons of websites with my grandfather, so no reason to do that again.

Kinda, but im not going to tell you who he is, that would just reviel some of my identity.

Hmm.. I just realized that the reason I'm getting so few hits is because I have a Norwegian last name, but spell it with a Swedish "ä" Could perhaps one of you people woth Danish or Norwegian keyboards do me a favour and do a search google for "Magnus Engesäth" but with a Norwegian/Danish "ä", and tell me if you get many hits?

I just tried it out (you know, to see if I would ever find myself on a site or something) and guess what...there were about seven pages worth of my Great Uncle, and known about me! Thanks Yoda. As I suspected, I got a few more hits using the Norwegian spelling, altough none of the links featured anyone called Magnus Engesæth. It seems I'm the only one on the entire internet (or possibly the whole world ) called Magnus Engesäth or Engesæth. Yay me!
