Zouave, you complain TOO MUCH

I have gotten tired of you . Every single tread that I see here there is a reply from you, Zouave ( whatever the hell that means )
complaing about the Civ3 and Firaxis.

Zouave you have over 1000 replies, and I bet that you complain in all of them about everything in the game.

I have come to believe that you are an Eletronic Arts employee that loggs in to the civfanatics site only to spread horror and induce everybody to stop playing Civilization 3, that for all the awards is one of the best games ever.

1000 replies that is unbelievable. You've got to be a spy for EA.

Somebody should ban you from here, because all you do is complain , complain, complain .
Look at the bright side of life, that is too short to be spent complaing.

I personally do not mind Zouave's comments but I wish he would spend more time coming up with some solutions to his ills instead of re-hashing the same topics. He has come up with some decent suggestions.

I personally don't mind the guy, at least he gives the fanboys something to think about. However, I would say that judging by the posts of his that I have read, his main source of displeasure with this game is that it isn't more of an uber-realistic history sim. I would say to Zouave that CivIII was never meant to be that kind of game. I saw in one of his posts that he is a history professor, so I can understand him being a little anal about any historical inaccuracies he sees in the game, however I think he is banging his head against a brick wall about these things, because Firaxis (and rightly so) isn't going to fundamentally change the Civ franchise based on one person's gripes about historical accuracy.


This game is realistic in some areas, a little unrealistic in others, but in my mind it achieves a balance between realism and fantasy, and that is what makes this game so special.

I think it's actually good to hear people griping about something which we all like. Obviously most of us like the game or we wouldn't post here, and he gives us a perspective on how we could make the game appeal to more people, albeit in a certain fairly limited audience. And hs HAS posted some of his solutions.

I would rather have Civ3 with people complaining about it, telling us how it might be better, than still be stuck on Civ1 because no one ever gave Sid et al any feedback.

Sometimes Zouave annoying and trolls around, sometimes he helps and is constructive. I was looking at his MOD and he does make some good changes.
