Like others have said, there is no weak trait combo if they are used properly. On the surface, Imperialistic/Protective would be the weakest, but the cheaper settlers can give you the edge in grabbing land, and the quicker GG's can help make much stronger units, or help you build them quicker...

I like the idea of tectonics, but I feel it needs more work. Having mountain ranges and more choke points is great, but thats ruined when you get islands made of grassland and plains right up into the poles, and there are generally too many plains for my liking.

AOE is much more suitable for a quick play then Civ. After playing one game, I don't really feel like playing another for a while. I don't think I have ever played AOE 3 for more then an hour. It gets too repetitive. Civ however, is a game that you can put on and still be playing several hours...

You don't get the benefits of other wonders (excluding Manhattan Projectic, Apostolic Palace/ UN but they are slightly different). Why should you get the benefit of the Internet? It would defeat the object of building it in the first place.

You can keep demanding resources from them. If they reject, war is automatically declared. I've never experienced this myself, but even if you can't go to war with them, at least you can get resources for free.
