Even better, notice the shape of the borders, or how they extend. Looks like borders will (finally) not be decided by the city's radius, but by other means.

I haven't noticed any roads in any of the screen shots. Part of me hopes that there are none - they would ruin the sheer beauty of scenery.
The roads are the fine lines running through the Hexes.

I had the same question in mind. I figure it's probably 19 tiles total: the one underneath the city, the six tiles around that, and the twelve tiles around that.

I thought the same, but now the borders around the city in the center of the screenshot make me undecided...

However, i read that the player will be able to "trade terrain"; does it mean that it will be possible trade hexagons? It would make me crazy!! :crazyeye:

I've played a couple of strategy based board war-games and the the hex grid is an improvement. This game is going to be much more fluid than Civ IV. If it were possible, I would consider doing something dubious to get it sooner!

Great!!!!! Hexagon tiles should be a big +

I like how the people arent towering. There still big, but they dont make it look bad.

Also, it shows more then 3 or 2. I like that, it adds more realism
