  • I haven't been in the NES part of the forum for a long time, and I tried to go on nes-chat.tk the site is down, its been down for days if not weeks, is there another chat site.
I'll copy the style used by el-Basketcase or maybe kulade when he was talking to Dom3k back in the day. It will probably be an infraction but worth it. :)
I'm used to it by now; nobody likes to respond to posts like that one I put together. Same thing with the few posts I've made on Reagan's approval ratings and polling methodology, those always get ignored. I can almost hear the crickets as I type them.

If I were a little more delusional/narcissistic/whatever, I'd comfort myself in knowing that I actually convinced someone they were wrong and shown directly how and why that is. I think the next time this happens, I'll just quote my original post in full. :p
I added you on AIM the other day. I'm English, so if you want to discuss the American war, come on fairly early in the evening tonight or tomorrow with any proposals you particularly have in mind. Or PM me.
Woah, I didn't know I was part of this grand conspiracy. No one tells me anything! They better start giving me some hush money.
How goes the war against the AGW-haters? Doesn't seem like anything in that thread has changed since I unsubbed.
Oh, well, that's different. I thought you were ignoring me.

We're both trying to colonize Gabon. Our new settlements are almost on top of each other. In the interest of not blocking each other off, I'm offering to buy your Gabon colony from you.
I'm starting a new political movement, Occupy Crezth's Wall, until you cave to my demands of answering my post. :p
Heh, get ready for some grinding early on, or clever use of your abilities and a little luck. I think they made fewer types of enemies than in base Chrono Trigger, and just used them for longer. So in the long run, it gets easier, but there are points where the enemies are much stronger than in the base game.

On the plus side, the story is good enough to keep you coming back for more. :)
Yeah, supposedly the developers of the Crimson game got a cease and desist letter from Square, and then another group released FoE. Most think it was a publicity stunt.

I'm still stalled up at the Ocean Palace in FoE (yes, you go back eventually). It's hard as balls and gritty as all hell in the first half, but it gets easier as you progress. The plot stays real, though. :)
FoE is definitely worth a play. I think I like the original a bit better, but I wasn't disappointed.

I thought the posts saying we weren't seriously discussing their philosophy, trolling them, and recommending a propaganda site were pretty funny. It seemed like evasion by any means was more important than confronting the tough questions. That's probably why I've stuck around this site all these years.
All I can say as a grad student... make sure you really want to go to grad school before you sign up for it. I was entering the job market in 2008, the pickings were slim, and I didn't really like the company I got an offer from. So I went to grad school instead. Should have thought that one through a little more.

The fan-sequel is too awesome for the character limit on visitor messages to describe. I think I have the RC3 version from May, but RC6 can be found on their blog.

I am liking the questions you pose in the thread. I just hate her books, I never really got into her philosophy. It's fun to see a debate where someone who knows about objectivism and isn't totally enthralled with Rand--that way, it doesn't end up in a conversation where people talk past each other or blind worship.
