I suppose I'm an autocrat if the delegation of authority is extended to the entire apparatus of state rather than its head. My reason is simple: states are the most effective and least personally pernicious organizations that unify people yet found (compare: tribes, corporations, etc.) and also the most powerful. Ideally they should be competent, effective, efficient, and just; I feel that can be achieved through proper organization and structuring. The People have the capacity to interact with this body to the benefit of both, it just requires education and time, both of which tend to be denied them by various Forces for one reason or another. This is just a product of my observation and learning.

As to why we're all vaguely like this, who knows!
