2 things:
1) Take 2 is not going to go into bankruptsy any time soon. They lost that money last quarter due to pulling GTA: SanAndreas off th shelves.
2) EB Games is just on crack, they changed the release date back to 10/24
My main point is, there are several thousands of people that will not pay for the game. There are several thousands that will buy the game just because its Civ 4 and they are supporting the company that brought them this great game. There are also a couple thousand people that will buy that...
I know a lot of people, myself, that are going to buy the game so we can play big games without pc's. I have 4 friends that I know, myself, that wouldn't fork over a dime to play if it had "no" copywrite protection. I also know several people who will buy the game because they aren't competant...
Um...this doesn't make sense. Theres lots of people that buy the game rather than mess with copywrite protections. When you pirate a game, every patch breaks your game, you have to wait for a "fix". Game day, unless your terribly lucky, there will not be a crack for civ 4. If you wanna play...
I think you may have a problem with any pc game that is shipped out. They all have some sort of copywrite protection on them. The point is, your going to miss out on a potentially great game because "it has copywrite protection".
Battlefield 2 has copywrite protection that requires the cd...
no idea. I didn't follow Civ 1-3 as much as I am with Civ 4. Anyone else out there know if they did? But this is Take 2 publishing it so it depends on what they push too.
This thread is the reason for Game Copy World. I owned all the Civ 3 stuff, Civ 3, ptw, C3C. I hate toting cds around and refuse to do it. I legaly aquired my version of the game so I go here. They have a no cd crack for the game that allows me to bypass the cd check and start the game. As...
well...I would be skepticall if they didn't change their date, come up with box art(considering this morning they didn't have it), and have the following info:
I don't have any reason to doubt it at this point. The only thing I can hope is that they are wrong and it comes our earlier ;)
It shouldn't go back at all. They are looking to push this up due to money problems last quarter with GTA: San Andreas being pulled off the shelves. It will come out before halloween, question is, how far? 10/30 seems like an acurate date because is would put it a 1/2 month ahead of schedule...
