There's other info about Take-Two's shady accounting practices and monetary problems out there for those who look.

Those restatement stories are from February 2004. Do you have anything more current than that?

The lawsuits were resolved in June 2005, but the financial statements were fixed a year and a half ago and none of the execs involved are with the company anymore.

I thought you were talking about current information, which is what I provided. I guess I should have looked farther back than this year.

Also, there are new laws in the US that will keep the problems from two years ago from happening again.

And yes, I Googled the company too, but I chose to go with the more current information, not something that has already been resolved.

Edit: I'll put my money where my mouth is and buy some shares tomorrow. Everybody make sure to buy your copy of Civ IV and a copy of Pirates if you don't already have it.

Should be interesting to see. If the developers felt that the October date was going to lower the quality of the game somehow, then I definately am happy they are going with 11/14/05. Still, some childish part of me says go Oct 24 :p

2 things:

1) Take 2 is not going to go into bankruptsy any time soon. They lost that money last quarter due to pulling GTA: SanAndreas off th shelves.

2) EB Games is just on crack, they changed the release date back to 10/24
