It seems that it helps to have troops in their territory wich threaten their cities.

Salami tactic normaly.Several wars and in each of them i conquer some border cities,make peace consolidate, declar war...rince and repeat.

I once started on a mid sized island (enough space for around 10 cities) wich was half desert half plains,flat and nothing else than a fish resource and a single wood tile. Oh i had a look at the editor on that island and the only resource on it was uranium.

To everyone who trys to get a working link i suggest to have a look at Rise and Rule(in this forum) its very similar to dyp.

Well Civ II has some flaws (dumb AI,too fast,too easy)but surely the graphics are ok. Infact when it was released its graphics where top . Iam playing Civ III for a long time now (Civ IV is uhm how to say...not good in my eyes) and i played for Nostalgia Civ II last year again. Alot of things...

I remember having that problem along time ago too,but if iam right when you start the scenario the missing Civs should be there. However i might confusing this with something other.Perhaps yer can try it out while waiting for real help :)

This is one of the many reasons i still like Civ III more than IV. So yes,it should be back.
