  • I'm opting for this: Clean Bandit - Rather Be ft. Jess Glynne

Your track is quite good. Definitely different to the usual stuff we see. Have you seen the Russian parody? :p
Unfortunately, no. I am able to form simple Frisian sentences and I also know some words that are completely different than their Dutch counterparts, but you'll find my Dutch more fluent than my Frisian.
I strongly encourage you to start a Nederlands 101 thread. I am very anxious for such a thread myself, but since I'm a native Dutch speaker, it would be cheating!
Berkley is a very prestigious university that's hard to get into. Do you think, by chance, that you're better than the rest of us. :p
I've been somewhat ambivalently following your Starcraft thread, occasionally checking the link, and I have to confess that I am still trying to wrap my head around the fact that Starcraft World Championship Series is actually a thing. I had no idea this world existed.
I read it this morning :p

I'm still a wee bit embarrassed that I find DeLong hard to read.
I've always found it strange how people who think that capitalism is the natural order of things often seem to hold the contradictory view that capitalism will fall apart at the merest whiff of government intervention. So on the one hand, the Soviet Union was doomed to failure because it went against human nature i.e. capitalism while on the other hand the United States is going to socialist hell in a hand basket because Obamacare. It's a strange set of views and that Basic Income thread is a good example of that sort of logic fail.
Monetary policy isn't my thing. I'm more focused on state level economic policy. But I think Krugman more or less sums up my misgivings here.
The US taxes thread makes me laugh. I might think MMT is wrong but I at least know how to engage with it and debate it using more than catch phrases from that one economics class.
