  • Screw Romney:p

    Gary Johnson or bust:)

In all seriousness, supporting Romney because of talking points that don't intristically have meaning like "Balanced budgets" are going to get us nowhere. I could see Romney being even worse than Bush on foreign policy while still sucking as much as Obama does on fiscal policy. And for eight years? No thanks. Or him and a Democrat splitting the next eight? No thanks.

I'll take Obama in 2012 and a candidate that doesn't insult my intelligence in 2016, whoever that may be.
My vote for "Pleased" in the thread I just bumped regarding how I would feel if Obama wins should be interpreted solely as "Anti-Romney." I still can't stand Obama. Its just math. 4 < 8.
OK, on the far more important stuff, Celt seems like he was joking:crazyeye:

He didn't use any smilies, posted stuff both in the thread and on my VM wall, he's a talented prankster, and I feel like an idiot now.
The more I think about it, the less I support doing anything to Iran. If they actually attack Israel than I'd support defending them, but otherwise, if Israel feels threatened and wants to attack first, that is their, not our, business. As for Afghanistan, we should have declared war on them, but it should have been Congress and not the President, and we need to get the heck out now. If we can't win in 10 years, its not worth doing:p

Regarding drugs, I have a bigger problem with the whole "War on drugs" than I do with simply banning drugs. The Federal drug war hasn't been helping rehabilitate drug users but instead has served as an excuse to get 3 million of our people locked up. If a state wants to ban drugs they should be allowed to do that, although I think the current consequences are a a violation of the eighth amendment. I don't think it makes a whole lot of logical sense to ban weed though. Alcohol is presumably worse.
I think foreign policy is our biggest disagreement. I used to agree more with you but lately I've moved to a much more Paulian/Non-interventionist position.

As for terrorist attacks, we only had one BEFORE 9/11, so I don't have to accept or agree with this idea that the Patriot Act is a "Necessary Evil" at all. Honestly I'd love to see everyone who voted for it (Senators, Representatives, President Bush) arrested for violation of the constitution, but that will never happen, and Obama would have to be arrested for all sorts of reasons in that case.

    More coming later. Gotta run.
The stem cells thing I said make it all illegal, but I don't really know what a "Non-fetal" stem cell is. I am not knowledageable about how that compares to early-term-abortions, which you know I reject.

I'll "Support" Mitt when Hell freezes over.

As for the Patrot Act, how does it not contradict the 4th amendment? Or do you just not care?

its a blatant abuse of government power. I honestly don't get how an intelligent person (Which you are one) can support the Patriot Act.

It makes about as much sense to me as how in some cases in NYS drug selling can have a higher sentence than forcible rape (None...)
You agreed with Romney 99% of the time?:crazyeye:

What was the one thing you disagreed on?:p

Do you still support the Patriot Act? Other than abortion (Which I have issues with every candidate on pretty much) that's my biggest issue with Romney.
Oh right, so now we move on to the 'nuh nuh neener neener' part of the conversation. This will be fun.
Really, because I saw 3 instances here and 1 in the 51st state thread that you (thankfully) redacted (for it's utter nonsense).
