Tried that and it still doesn't work...... Could the problem be that i am importing the info from a modded civ3 bic? OR do i just have to re-enter all the info as NEW units rather than changing the old ones?
Either way tho, why does it continue to use the old animations etc, when i have...
OK heres the deal. I've finally got PTW, converted my previous map (1.29) to PTW (1.14) and started a game. All works fine, then i see my edited units have different animations etc. I tried replacing the units_32 file and they're still wrong. I tried adding the units on the map in the editor and...
I don't know if Firaxis has done anything in PTW to fix culture flipping, but i've thought of a semi-cure (although i haven't tested it yet).
For all the culture opinions (i.e. in awe of etc.) in the culture tab of the editor, set the resistance chance to 0 for both initial and continued...
Is it just me (my computer) or does it take forever to load a scenario. I just threw some cities (about 390 - 400) and placed improvements into them. No units. The map is Marla's world map (240*200 i think).
I've been waiting for about 5 minutes now and about 20% is done. OR to put it another...
Ok. If you want to eliminate Global Warming (actually more like make it useless) do this. But remember, this is only if you play a scenario.... oops, make that modded map.
Open the Terrain tab in the editor, and change the "pollution effect" option for all terrain types to "none". What this...
Hmmm... interesting that.... I turned off the allow cities on Tundra and Desert too. I can't place them in the editor (just deletes the forest from the tile), but i haven't tested it in the game yet.
Hmmm.. interesting.... maybe this is why Firaxis hasn't changed the 8 square max range thing. Parhaps this was coded into the AI strategies (air units have a max of 8) and is difficult to change........
Sounds plausable to me.
Hey I tried that once but I couldn't bomb cities.... I flew over it, made the attacking sound and damaged nothing (with a bombard value of 250!). I'm pretty sure i could hit units tho (did it a while back).
Totally agree. One game where there AI does think (sort of) is Empire Earth. The AI realises you have battleships for example and sends galleys to attack them (Galleys have an advantage when attacking battleships). Then if you build Frigates to take out the Galleys, it builds Battleships to take...
Hey... I want a better AI too. I would like to see the AI counter my military buildup anywhere with its own. which it hardly ever does.
Another thing i would really love to see is Submarines that work like Subs (or should that be surface ships that work like their supposed to). I hate seeing...
Hehe. Very true. I'm thinking of testing something where I try and force nations to team up on another group of nations. This is what im going to do. Set Team A (3 nations. I'll just call each nation A1, A2 and A3) to have their favoured goverments as Democracy and shunned as Communism, and be...

hmmm.. ok. I have a question. when you say ~6/D (I'll just leave out the D as its not important for my question)
do you mean 6:1 or is this some kind of % value?
Also, what if u have your own citizens in there? how does that affect the equation.
Lets say this equation:
G...
quick question.... In every game i have played (usually above regent) buying techs is almost always cheaper then stealing it on the first option (the risky one). So whats the point of stealing and maybe being caught when u can buy for cheaper?
I hate culture flipping too.... In fact, I haven't heard of anyone that likes it.....
anyway, I haven't been able to try this out yet (out of town for a while), but what happens if you reduce the culture ratio for all options (in awe of, disdainful of etc.) in the culture menu of the editor...
