Really? No one knows how to do this?
Even after I build the flood barrier, the zones are NOT available to repair on the city production screen. Nor can a builder repair it by standing on it.
It's this a documentation error? A bug?
So I have a tile that is flooded - not submerged.
I've built a flood barrier in the city. The description for flood barrier says:
"If constructed after some of the city's tiles have been flooded (but not submerged), those tiles can be repaired in full and used again, along with all that's on...
I don't see how this helps me, then. If I take a city and I only have 3 turns to hold it, I won't have enough time to build a monument.
Hm, I knew about dark ages, but I didn't realize happiness made a difference. I will have to watch that.
So this isn't really specific to Gathering Storm, but I think maybe there may have been some changes - not sure.
Anyway... I really HATE the whole city loyalty mechanic. I play on King difficulty and I have found it's basically impossible to capture an enemy city. I mean... I can take the city...
Not sure if it's related to CQUI or not, but the past week or so, my builder suggestion no longer work. I can turn them on manually, but when my worker is selected, no suggestions are displayed. :(
So they added an "Alert" option for units! Yay!
But... it doesn't seem to work. Enemies walk right up to my units and they still don't activate. Am I misunderstanding how it's supposed to work? Does this not work the same as Sentry used to work?
And why no shortcut key?
The Civilipedia for the Sea Dog (unique English unit) says "Can capture enemy ships." So far, mine has blown up three barbarian ships and hasn't captured anything.
How do I capture ships? Does it not work on barbs? Do I have to do something special aside from attacking?
Is there any way to turn off the AI from constantly bombarding me with pointless and repetitive messages? Several times each turn I have to suffer through watching one or more of the AI players sending me some incredibly stupid message that he already gave me a dozen times. Each time I have to...
This one drives me crazy. I've seen it happen a few times. I am way ahead and then suddenly I have to change my policies because the one that was giving me +2 Great Prophet points is gone and I'm like WTH! It doesn't help that there is no notification when someone else founds a religion (or if...
I dunno if it's that those strategic resource are more rare, or if the engine that builds the world is just not doing enough to spread them out. But I have definitely noticed that it's much more common to end up with none of them close to you than it was in Civ V.
But, this is mitigated...
What do I have to do in order to unlock corps and armies?
From what I found online, you need to enter the Renaissance era for Corps and the Modern era for Armies.
But I am in the Renaissance in the game I'm playing right now (or at least I THINK I am - how can I tell?) and I can't combine any...
