    Anybody else notice new units?

I’ll have to go back and check, but I have had all mods disabled for over a month now (been achievement hunting). I suppose it could have been re-enabled somehow...

    Anybody else notice new units?

i fired up a game tonight, Australia, Standard, King, and a way through the game, noted I could upgrade my scout to an explorer. Checked through the tech tree, noticed TREBUCHETS, Cuirassers, longswordsmen, and a Modern Sniper, off the top of my head. No mods active. Was there a stealth update...

    Fall patch discussion thread

@Stilgar08 - my fault for not being clear: I was hoping to see them add the ability for the human player to ask AI to remove troops from their borders. As it is, you watch the AI pile on, waiting for the inevitable DoW, or you take the advantage, but score a warmonger penalty.

Oh, and of COURSE "AI understanding of friendship declaration" has been adjusted the night I had two friends, Trajan and Victoria, joint DoW on me :P

    Fall patch discussion thread

This and some additions to human player diplomacy (border withdrawal requests, I'm looking at you) options would have made this patch a homerun. As it is, the patch is a triple with a boneheaded play at the end Overall, I'm pleased with this initial effort, though.

Funny, I was just thinking the same thing. Perhaps people are posting more topics, but interacting in others' threads less frequently? There a a lot of 1-2 page threads, where it seems like 4-5 used to be the average.

    How to avoid/undo Warmonger label

Speaking of warmongers, treacherous Trajan and Passive Aggressive Victoria just joint DoW on me, and they wete both "friendly." She is an utter backstabber in every game I have encountered her in, and I HATE HER STUPID FACE. Trajan at least, is usually honorable, but clearly she whipped up...

    CiVI Expansion Demand Question

10 hexes sounded about right. Your logic is sound. Thanks!

    CiVI Expansion Demand Question

After I cede to a civilization's demand that I not expand too close to their borders, does anybody know within how many hexes I can build a city within range of them without breaking the promise?

    Idea for new American leader

We'd need a new Great Merchant: Steve Bannon Ability: Can only be triggered by a Civilization following the Facism government type. All Broadcast Centers produce +2 culture, and Commercial Hubs reduce war weariness by 2% (cumulative bonus), up to 50%. Permanently suffer -1 diplomatic visibility...

These things need to be fixed !!

Actually, a lot of CiVI's diplomacy features fall victim to the same issue they had in CiV vanilla: The game feels designed to prevent the player from winning, rather than designed to create a rich experience. Seeing as how Ed Beach is the one who came in and set things to rights with CiV, I...

These things need to be fixed !!

The fact that the AI has diplomacy options the player does not is unacceptable, and frankly, getting quite annoying. Things the AI can ask of you, or denounce you for, which you cannot ask of them or denounce them for: Withdraw from my borders. Stop interacting with city state(s). <Denounce>...

Uh oh! Thats a lot of Barbarians!

One thing I have noticed about barb camps is that, because the AI civs are programmed to avoid damage (a sign mentioned by a previous poster), they often leave barb scouts alive. I have seen non-stop waves of barbs in somebody games, and i suspect it is because multiple scouts keep summoning...
