I don't know if you are aware, but because there is no meta progression for the modded leaders (at least the two of yours I've seen), it is impossible to unlock their mementos. The mod is fantastic though!
Hello! You should be able to use the mementos if you start up a game, return to the main menu, then actually start your new game.
