Sorry Firaxis, but this is simply atrocious.
I have paid out £60 in advance (you took my money long before I got access) and it is so bad I cannot even see my first scout after a half-dozen moves?
Graphics are an NVidia RTX 3060 on default settings in game, so it's not that.
My CPU is fibne & I have 32Gb of RAM, an i7-11700k 3.60GHz cpu, an SSD OS drive and the game is also installed to an SSD.
I shudder to think how bad this will get later on in game if it cannot even display as we currently stand.
Disgraceful that this is in such a terrible state on release given it's seriously expensive pricing.

Graphics drivers are NVidia Game-Ready latest version - I always keep these up to date.
Verified integrity of files already.
Relaunched, and looking at Graphics Options I see that a whole heap are set to AMD options - why, and what should I be using?
It seems appallingly bad at setting up defaults.
Far from happy about this and I am seriously thinking refund time

Okay - I tried again, this time I deleted the invisible scout that didn't reveal territory and went for a Legatus & army.
I get 2 slingers & the ;legatus pops but now I am stuck in a never-ending loop where I cannot hoover up the slingers, they refuse to join the commander when told to & wosrt of all I cannot seem to progress anything now.
This is a joke, and it is on me.

DX12. Won't launch in Vulcan - running Windows 10 (I have tried running Vulcan in things like VEIN, and it has no effect at all - just doesn't run)

There is a bunch of unspecific crash reports in there, but these might be related to Terra Invicta, that is not clear to me.
Googling also says that faulty RAM might be cause (or insufficient one, which is not the case for your system), but that seems to be less likely for me.
You got more stuff running in the background?
