[R&F] [1.0.0.257] Hangs after going to Main Menu while in game

Civ6 and R&F have been running flawlessly for me on Windows 10 until last week. I got a Civ6 update last week and now the game hangs after selecting to go back to the Main Menu. I can still select to Save Game but when trying to Resume the Main Menu disappears and the game screen remains grayed. If I try to select any other options on the Main Menu nothing happens. I can still reselect from the in-game menu to go the the Main Menu, once more. If I try to select any option on the menu this second time then nothing happens.

I have to use Task Manager to end the running application. Civ6 shows it is using 10-40% of the CPU before I kill it.

I've uninstalled the game, rebooted, and reinstalled the game. Same issue. Nothing shows in the Windows Event Logs.

Any clues and/or suggestions for me?

I've tried rolling back my video driver and then the May Windows 10 Cumulative update from the PC. Still have the problem. Is there a way to remove/rollback the Civ6 update from last week?

I've determined that the problem only occurs when I play the ruleset for R&F, if I use the Standard rules I have no problem with the menu hanging. Is there a way to just remove the latest patch to R&F?

After the latest Steam update, this issue has been corrected. Strange that a Steam update was the bug fix . . .
