I think you aer all missing the point of the posting. It is not to compare now to 159 years ago... Ah forget it!!

There was a bit like this on an Australian sketch show a while back. Guy wakes up from a coma to discover that Bert Newton and Darryl Somers are hosting tv shows - two old Australian entertainers - George Bush is President, we're at war with Iraq, and Batman is a hot film.
