Hosted earth small this eve and by turn 21 I met Darius played by M-33. He had a GS, pop 3 city with base tile 4 hammer 3 food 4 gold iirc on a marble hills plains possibly river. Had improved silver mine, 2 warriors and i attacked his unprotected settler. Another player said they saw his sci too and he had a generel they saw turn 20. He chased me down and had 3 warriors on me 5 turns later.:mischief:

I asked how he said : " it was a bag, tradition bag"

it was funny to me i think he meant bug, but he kept saying bag.
We remade without him.

It must have been a cheat, first one i've come across.

I think there's only one legit way of doing this.

Pick Babylonians and go for writing for a free GS. That's less than 20 turns to do.

For your first two policies, go for honor and get a free GG.

um...

I bet he built monument first and got a culture ruin or two. I would not call that a definite cheater. The two Liberty policies would supply the worker and great scientist.

...and a GG...but hard to really know without pictures.

hes definatly a cheater, we met him yesterday too.

i was shocked how early one player (it was a 4men FFA) had such a big advantage in economy, and then asked in global chat. after this a mate who met him ingame said he had already in turn 20 ( i guess plus the 3 basic) 15 SoPos. we left this game cose of him. and yeah it was M-33 playin darius too.

believe me 15 policies that early must be a cheat ;)

yeah no ruins on in the earth map, so not possible, also the base tile of his city was pimped
