2 instances of civ4 on the same PC

i'd like to know if it is possible to run 2 civ4 instances on one machine?
i'm a sloppy player so i need 2 instances to compete with my cousins.

Run two Civ4 games at the same time! Are you insane ? One thing you will need is massive amounts of RAM but I doubt you can run two at the same time anyway. I mean I doubt anyone has tried and perhaps the copy-protection or installer will only allow one instance to be running or installed. Most have a hard enough time to get one copy running at all....

well, running civ4 and half life 2 at the same time is no problem at all. I think the performance is not the problem. I only need it to get running it a second time on the same machine, without using something like a virtuell machine.

According to Firaxis' website, the multiple command line option is what you are looking for. I've never tried it, so I don't know how well (or if) it works.
