I'm sorry, but the GOTM cannot be played with Test of Time, because the savegame can't be loaded, nor converted. I hope you have an older version of Civ as well...

And this is the GOTM #10, of november. Deadline = 2 december. Though I see now that the deadline is missing it should be found on the Rules & Download page.

oh :( I don't have the original Civilization 2... just the Test Of Time... bought the Civilization 3 but I don't think I'm ready for GOTM, it's a whole different game, so my empire is more like a punchbag :(

yes, probably is but:

1. my connection is too slow so downloading the WHOLE game sounds like a good idea for me
2. I don't have a clue where I could find it
3. this would be piracy, which I don't feel good about it...

Knockout, finding the game in the shop will be hard, but if you do it will be very cheap (because of Civ3).

Quite right. Reminder: we have a zero tolerance policy. So I wouldn't suggest something like that again, el_kalkylus.

Normally,I'd agree,but you can't find civ2 legitimately anywhere.
oh sure, you can watch the auction sites and maybe get lucky....you'll need to monitor them 24/7 though as any copies are gone as soon as they go up for sale.

If you know of a supply of legal copies of civ2 2.42 or MGE then please post.
I would like one also.

oh and if you ever see the Holy Grail, the SEPERATE Fantastic Worlds add-on,buy it immediately.I will double your purchase price.

Amazon.com still has some copies of the Classic version of Civ2. After you buy the game, you can download Cedric's Patch to convert it to Civ2 Gold...

You can also find some stores that sell Civ2 2.42 and Test of Time using MySimon.com's search feature:

http://www.mysimon.com/isrch/index....&InputKeyword=Civilization+II&_ttag=ksrch_top

you can also download freeciv here. its almost compatible to civ1 and civ2 and its 100% free. its not piracy, because they have rights for it.

Have you checked the bargain bins at your local computer store? I think I saw Civ II for $9.99 at Comp USA. Just the disk in a jewel case - no box or manual.

I keep my eyes open but that is also a matter of luck.Havn't had any.....

Unfortunately,Amazon won't ship outside the US.Sometimes I wonder if they ship anywhere
