HI ! I hope you can help me :)

1. How can i transport a Cruise Missile ??? I tested it with Cruisers, Transports, etc. but i wasn't able to do it ! In reality Cruise Missiles could be also transported...

2. Whar are Stealth Fighter good for ??? They are Fighter with no attack ??? and Stealth Bomber are better in bombing. So wth are they for ?? :confused:
 
As for 1, I know they can be transported on a regular transport, but you won't be able to launch from it. They don't have the load ability, so you have to 'drive' onto the transport from an adjacent tile.
Ideas I've had using the editor, but I don't remember which ones work are:
1. Flag as air unit. You can then cross any terrain(including water), and bombard as normal. Might screw up game balance, and unkown how it affects the AI.
2. Flag as foot unit. You can load them into helicopters then, but I'm not sure about bombarding.

I never build Stealth Fighters, but I believe they have a lesser chance of being shot down by SAM's or enemy fighters set on patrol.
 
Stealth Fighters don't mave around and attack, they bombard from a city, or an Aircraft Carrier.

As for cruise missiles, I hardly ever build them. But I think taper is right. :)
 
Isn't there a rebase option on cruise missles that let's you automatically change them to any city around the world in one turn? I'm pretty sure I've done that with regular bombers the few times I built them instead of waiting for the slightly more effective ICBM.

But i do not have the "Transport"-Buttom, when the Cruise Misille is for example in the same town like a transport. And let them move from airport to another, also doesn't work

but i think that Stealth Bomber have the "Stealth"-advantage and they are better in bombards. So where is the reason to build this fighter ?
 
i can anwser question 1:
open Civ3Edit and make cruise missles air units. also give them a bombard range of 10 and a movement rate of 7.

2 in this game, stealth fighters are good for NOTHING! actually, they are cheaper than the stealth bombers(i think)

But if i modify the cruise misille in the civ3editor, i have to play a special scenario, i think. is that right ??? or is this change for all civ3-games ??
 
If you modify the cruise missile in some way, you would either save the scenario from the editor with a new name and use it by choosing "Load Scenario" or save your changes to the original rules file (after making a backup first, or course ;)) and it would then apply to all "New Games." Either way, since the rules are changed PTW will no longer record high scores for games played under those rules, if that matters to you. Personally, I much prefer to leave the base rules alone and make scenarios for any changes I make. Note that if you wish to have AEGIS cruisers and/or subs carry cruise missiles, you can do so by making some of the changes outlined in this thread
