EDIT (17/08):
I only need the Urban militia now

It is basically a "cheap" medieval swordsman. Consider the medieval infantry but without the iron armor. Only a small helm and a leather armor or a tunic. I don't need the shield. The mace that medieval infantry has is ok.
It should represent the urban population involved in medieval warfare: the medieval infantry is more a dismounted knight.
I need it not European-specific. It should be quite adaptable for any cultural group.
(The available units don't fit these requirements: the "Belgian resistor" is a ploughman with jeans, the European swordsman is too "barbarian" with that beard; the AoK Longswordsman wears too much armor.)

The most similar unit is here: the Mozarab
http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=78469
The differences from this unit is that I need:
-no shield
-attack animation with mace
-no hood
-an iron helm instead of....what is that? bronze?

Perhaps you could post your request in the sticky units request thread ? So it would not be forgotten ... I would like to know how you will use these units ... Personnaly I was thinking to allow to build such units ( militia ... ) in hurry with the use of one citizen like for the worker but without cost ...

The napoleonic age guerrilla idea interests me, maybe you could post some pictures? I might be interested in making it sometime :)

all that I know is that guerrilla was born in Spain during French occupation.
It is a Napoleonic-age guerrilla. A paesant who has a flintlock or percussion cap rifle. Something like the "Modern resistor", but that have a modern gun and wears jeans so isn't good.
Again, the cloths shouldn't be Euro-specific but adaptable. So no hat, no jeans.

I'll try to find some pics

Here's an alternative partisan unit, from Civ2.

The minuteman is quite similar, but it has a hat and a long cloth

About the urban militia, I've found these 2 articles:

"As early as the 11th century, Italian warfare was developing along lines which were unique in medieval Europe. This fragmented, cosmopolitan region, increasingly rich from international trade, saw the rise of independent cities able to fund armies of urban militia, sometimes defying the traditional feudal aristocracy."

and

"
Civic served in town militia. The free cities needed to depend upon their own citizens to defend their liberties. Artisan militia could be very effective. In the battle of Legnano in 1177, the army of the German Emperor Frederick I Barbarossa was defeated when its flank was suddenly attacked by members of the butcher's guild of Milan, armed with the tools of their trade - pole-axes, cleavers, large cutting knives, and so forth. Over time however, urban guilds - particularly in Italy gave up fighting in the field in favor of hiring mercenary armies to do their fighting for them."

It can be called Town Militia, too.

"The instability of the region meant towns and cities tended to have some form of fortifications and a town militia for defence. The town militia was raised and drilled by quarters. Each quarter of a town being expected to provide, arm and train a certain number of troops. Some of the 'quarters' were centred around the Merchant guilds of the district. Towns often contained arsenals of equipment for their militia, although usually it was up to the individual to supply his personal arms. Those rich enough would have been mounted. The majority of the militia were a mix of missile men, usually crossbows, and spearmen."

Maybe if you can't find a picture of a napoleonic guerilla you could point out a similar unit and say what should be changed :)

The pueblo shooter by Steph is good except the colour of the skin and of the cloth, and the hair (too long)

Could you provide a link to this unit? I looked through most of steph's conversion threads but couldn't find it

Nah. I've found it, but it's not what I mean, it wouldn't be useful to you. The pcx I attached above represents it better. That instead has a native American look. I want a it non civ or region-specific.
