By fist fighter, do mean someone punching small birds? Like a boxer? Or something else?

Fist fighter could be something to do with the German anti-tank or anti aircraft weapons. The Panzerfaust translates to something like armour fist literally anyway. Fliegerfaust means flier fist (again literally) and that was something like the Panzerschreck but against planes. Little birds could be some allied warplanes I guess, probably ground attack since I doubt the fliegerfaust had a very good range.

It is much more difficulty than I thought. Because of a certain reason I can´t give you as hint. Fist fighter is a synonym for another word as well as small bird is a synonym for a certain kind of small birds. It has something to do with Germany. The small bird has a German name. Also it has nothing to do with planes. At least it would be nearly impossible to take a plane down with both things.

SH3 = Silent Hunter 3. Which means the small bird is a humming bird (I think). Kolibri, type of reconnaisence helicopter. Also a perfurme used by Uboat crews.

Am I on the right lines or barking up the wrong tree again?

SH-3 Sea King​

From a military facts website:

The H-3 is a twin engine, all-weather helicopter. The SH-3H model is used by the Navy Reserves to detect, classify, track and destroy enemy submarines. It also provides logistical support and a search and rescue capability. The UH-3H model is utility configured for logistical support and search and rescue missions. The VH-3A model supports the Executive Transport Mission. The first version of this workhorse helicopter was flown more than 35 years ago. The Sea King has been replaced by the SH-60F Sea Hawk helicopters as the anti-submarine warfare helicopter. The transition was completed in the mid 1990s. The remaining Sea King helicopters have been configured for logistical support and search and rescue missions.

Silent Hunter 3 is correct, but it has nothing to do with the helicopters used by the Kriegsmarine. Uboats are correct. A last hint before I´ll solve it tomorrow: Armament of Uboats.

Is it the decoy rafts towed behind Allied vessels? The ones with diesel engines fitted to make noise to attract German accoustic torpedoes?

could it be the tubs of oil, grease and metal parts that the uboats carried as a decoy so that if they werent hit, they could try to fool the destroyers into thinking that they were sunk. Least I remember reading about this somewhere. ZI do believe they were called "puffins"

CruddyLeper is right. I thought it was much easier since the game is not so uncommon...
The Boxer was a thing to prevent the German T V Zaunkönig (wren) hitting. That was a guided acoustical torpedo. It was effective but also very noisy so other Uboats could find the convoy with ease. Later the Germans enhenced the T V so the Boxer was not so effective any more. However there are many allied escort ships which where hit despite the boxer, although only 1/3 of all T V fired hit a target. But considering the brand new technology no too bad result.

Hell yeah they use to give rations with brontin (?) a sexual desire suppresent to British toops.

Which goes a LONG way to explain some of the bizzare behaviour of the Brits.

I will accept. Kasha is boiled grain. ANY sort of grain - buckwheat, tapioca, rice, oats, whatever.

Boil it up, add butter and sugar if you have, that's kasha.
