Noticed Bronze Working appears blank in the tech tree. No adverse effects in game, still get Spearmen ect. Playing as Celts. Attached log files(While looking at them noticed some strange happenings in lua, using a adaptation of my resource mod, not sure this should/would effect what is going on in lua log).

I get that too.
I can't seem to research bronze working no matter how many turns I try to get it.
I just use the cheat mode to get past it.

This might be related to the tech bug I am about to post where there is no training.

The promoInfo bug has popped up in three different instances so far with three different sets of mods.

I don't know if this is a mod compatibility problem but gdwitt has been getting a bunch of bugs that I can't replicate.

Have you been using the ingame load button? There seems to be errors that occur when you load from ingame as there were with GEM in the past.

Can you download the latest version of CEP (v3.4.2) and make sure that you don't have any old versions of CEP in your MODS folder? Can you also delete your cache and moduserdata folders too? Also starting a new test game without any non-CEP mods active would help as well.

How can I confirm that I have the latest mod?
I'm checking CEP but getting the Mausoleum of Helicarn and other vanilla features.
I see no mentor's hall or great halls or other leader options.
How do I verify that something is not blocking CEP/CEG 3.4.2 from loading?
The mod folder seems health.

@gdwitt

The latest downloads of both Cat & Ceg should always be found here at the Communitas Wiki install page.

By clicking those large blue buttons the download of each mod takes place. You need Cat to use Ceg.
Please follow the advice @stackpointer provided about clearing your cache folders.

Assuming all this takes place the files with the extensions ".civ5mod" should then be copied into your "MODS" directory.

Starting Civ V with the mods option should unpack and install the mods for your use.

This of course is assuming you are not installing and updating the mod via Steam. Choose one or the other not both. I am not aware how current the Steam install is. Should be pretty recent if not exactly the same.

Wonders haven't been changed yet as far as I know. Mentors Halls shouldn't be in either as major economic building changes weren't in evidence. Neither of those would tell you very much yet. There are some more severe economic changes present in CEP, but not major wonder or building overhauls.

The quick ways to check if the mod is loaded at present would be
1) Any leaders changes active. If they are all vanilla, then there's a problem. If some are loading, but not others, that's still a problem, but it's a different problem.
2) Units changes active.
3) Turn on logging. Logging shows it loading up files.

Just downloaded version 3.4.2. The bronze working bug is still present. Attached some logs, only one turn in, error in lua and database log. No other mods running other than CAT, CEG and Communitas Map.

Horem, the bronze working bug has to do with the Celt's unique unit. I suggest everyone in this thread to avoid using them until a solution has been found.

gdwitt, I've been looking into your logs and errors and I'm afraid I have no idea where to start to debug. You are using the latest updated version of the game on windows?

I found a solution to my bug.
Somehow the 3.4.1 or .2 modfiles from this morning were being grabbed by the game and an error referencing those files caused the default to Vanilla.
I moved the build modfiles and once again put the install files from the wiki.
The game loaded CEP correctly.
However, I encountered errors that stopped production.
I used IGE to get a bunch of techs and the game froze.
One of the techs was bronzeworking.
See attached for the error logs.

The quickest way to tell if you have CEP or vanilla is to see if you have research or taxes available as build options at the beginning.
Also, there is no trapping in CEP while it is still in Vanilla.
Could this be causing the bronze problem?
Also, techs will allow you to get Abbey if you're playing Celts.

@gdwitt

Your logs show attempted calls to various *.lua files in a location from a previous version.

Have you cleared your caches before installing the latest version?

The folder \Gameplay\*.* no longer is used and the files that were there are now located elsewhere. The current modinfo used to generate the game correctly lists those files and finds them.

Edit:
Wrong user.

The bronze working problem was because you're playing the Celts and the Celtic UU is failing a promotion tooltip check. See my post above and try to avoid playing the Celts for now.

As I have mentioned before, trapping was intentionally renamed trade.

Can you elaborate on what you mean by "techs will allow you to get Abbey if you're playing Celts"? The Abbey is a temple replacement that was designed to be purchasable with faith. However, the faith buying system for non-policy/belief buildings are currently bugged and the functionality had to be removed.
