4000bc

ok i have civ3 the basic copy and was looking for scenerios for ww2 but everone i try starts in 4000bc and I dont get all the map.

if the game should start in 1939 it should start in 1939 not 4000bc, what am i doing wrong?

any help would be appreciated as i used to have civ2 and when it said 1939 it was 1939.

by the way i bought this game today and i may well be doing this all wrong, some of the scenerios are 900kb and some are like 140mb with so many differant files i dont know where to put them?

Have you read the readme for the specific scenario? It usually includes instructions on how to install it. Also do you use the "civ-content" button to access your scenario?

Sounds like you want the Conquests expansion pack. There's a WWII scenario that starts on December 7th 1941 with the attack on Pearl Harbor
