Wip. Like the Imperial City, Vivec will consist of several buildings. The Imperial City originally has a White Gold Tower. Then you build walls around it, the Arcanum University, the Prison District, the Waterfront. It will be the same with Vivec.

Looks good. Only played one elder scrolls game but remember this city from it. Is the city actually positioned on a water tile?

I thought about it, but no. There are a few limitations that I couldn't handle. A city that is located directly on the water is not coastal, so I cannot build lighthouses or harbors there, as well as a fleet. Units don't want to enter such a city, AI doesn't want to capture it. Therefore, the city will remain on the shore. But these buildings will be displayed in the water.

Oh man I can't wait to see a finished in-game shot of Vivec and the surrounding Vvardenfell area. I spent 5 years on and off exploring every single part of Morrowind. Printed maps and drew on them as I conqured every dungeon and explored every city talking to every NPC. I went full OCD on that game and loved every minute of it haha. I often nostalgically think of places like Seda Neen, Balmora, and Red Mountain almost like real holiday destinations I went to.. almost lol. So can't wait to see them in your mod. Especially if red mountain is an actual volcano spewing out lava, not the easiest of things to do in Civ4 I know though.

I've never played Morrowind to the end, it's so huge.
Red Mountain uses the default volcano model, it can be found here in the download database. Vivec will eventually look like this. Each building will need to be built separately, but I haven't thought through the concepts and effects for each of them yet. At first there will be only one Vivec's Palace.

Hey @ramzay1945 , I visited your Github page, downloaded the latest files and finally had a go at your amazing World of Tamriel Mod beta! I'm just blown away by it's immersion.. the graphics.. the sounds.. the world design.. such brilliant work! Considering how popular Oblivion is right now again due to the remaster I can only imagine what would happen if I posted some of your amazing screenshots in the massive TES fan groups out there. So many fans would want to play a 4X TBS Oblivion game heh.

However sadly while I was able to start the main sandboxy Tamriel scenario, I was unable to start both the Oblivion Crisis one or the Morrowind one as they both crash Civ4 at the initializing phase. Shame as your last round of screenshots showing the imperial capital area looked so amazing and if you've stopped working on it then that means those scenarios will be permanently stuck in a non-loadable state (as even if it never gets finished it would be nice if people could still load them up to look around at all the great work you did).

Looks like I still have a copy of your older version 0.1 I must have downloaded around 2021ish (has a brown GUI) and I'm able to start the Oblivion Crisis one in that but it of course looks nothing like your amazing screenshots as it's older and there's sadly no Morrowind scenario yet. Looks like I have a working copy of @smortt 's old version from this thread that started it all too (might use it to fix his broken download page as it's taking people to a dodgy squatter site). I've also updated Smortt's OP in this thread to mention you taking the project over (& used the page 10 link from your sig).

Anyway from what I saw in the working bits I was amazed.. The Oblivion style GUI is beauitful, I love the giant mushroom trees in Morrowind swaying in the breeze, and liked seeing red mountain and Skyrim's throat of the world on the map. All the faction leader portraits with authentic TES backgrounds are brilliant too. I laughed hard when I saw your Kvatch one where he's standing there admiring the city burning behind him and then turns around & smiles hahahaha.

I spoke with Ramzay on his mod projects discord and he's very kindly updated the Github copy of World of Tamriel to fix the scenarios crashing issues I was getting and we can now have a good look at them. The work he's put in is just sublime! I love the attention to detail! Obviously he's already posted pictures in this thread of many of the creatures and special locations but to see them animating and in motion is something else..

Morrowind netches floating around and giant mushrooms swaying in the breeze..

Big silt striders floating in the city and wild guars outside..

Smoking red mountain and proper dwemer ruins with flowing lava in Dagoth Ur, Indoril Ordinators, the ghost fence, Redoran buildings in ghost gate.. wow..

Oh and I love the Oblivion style GUI iconography..

As Ramzay has shown in the pictures in his previous posts above Vivec and Imperial city look great too with all their extra buildings and bridges too..

And on top of all that you've got the Elder Scrolls soundtrack playing away.. so immersive! :)
