thread prefixes. I think they may be visually distracting. They're useful for the Sponsorship Phase, but aren't needed until then, so I can remove them from the threads if the community desires.

Thoughts? As usual, vote Yea + Nay if you want to vote "Don't care".

As a proposal writer, I like having a forewarning that my suggestion might me complex or involve DLL coding, specifically because it sounds like getting sponsors for that kind of thing is hard. So I can maybe think about how to restructure the suggestion in a way that makes implementation easier before everything gets locked and I can't make amendments anymore.

However, that's only really helpful if there's some indication as to why it will need DLL or other support. Right now it's just a line added to the end of the proposal.

@Recursive Just so we are clear. When you say "remove them". does that mean they won't be tagged, or that the tags will remain hidden? (and can the visibility be turned on and off for some people?)

The tags will be removed from the threads until the Sponsorship Phase. No visibility toggle exists.

I wonder if you might consider leaving the tags but removing the colours -- imo the tags are helpful to furthering our understanding of where simple sounding things aren't simple, what can be done via database and what requires more work, etc. These aren't obvious things to all users here, who may be interested in making their own proposals down the line. The colours on the other hand, aren't very useful imo, and are a little distracting.

Or have it so the colours represent important categories from the player/tester perspective: red for unit changes, green for religion changes, etc.

Anyway voted nay.

They have colors so that they're easy for sponsors to pick out at a glance, as that is their intended purpose.

I do find them distracting as well, but...Vox Populi.
