This is my first ever building graphic. So, don't be harsh on me :) But I'd appreciate any comment on it.

Special thanks goes to Ukas, due to his fantastic work on making a simple enough tutorial (actually, mostly for those grass backgrounds).

No city aeral view graphics included, though, since there aren't enough space for new buildings, I guess.

I think this has been done before (converted from AOK), but I just want to give some more variety to these forums, letting people to choose among different graphics.

No wonder splash yet.

And I know, the shadow isn't that good. Converted from a photo.

Thank you all. I'm glad you guys liked it!

@ozymandias: It is! I just figured it out when you mentioned it.

I mean, it's definitely not tilted in reality though. I guess it's because of the perspective of the original photograph. I'll try to post that sometime soon.

It's based on the "Blue Mosque" :)

See, there are four great mosques in Turkey, actually being the three biggest mosques in the world (not including Al-Aqsa and al-Haram, a.k.a Kaaba).

One of them is the Hagia Sophia (a.k.a. Saint Sophia), converted from the great Ortodox church after the conquest of Istanbul. (Aya Sofya in Turkish). After the Turkish independence, the secular government turned it into a museum, which is still how it is.

The second is the Suleymaniye, simply a wonder built in the name of Suleiman the Magnificent (Suleiman the Lawmaker, or "Kanuni Sultan Suleyman" as it's in Turkish) by Sinan. It's located in Istanbul. Together with Hagia Sophia, they make up the skyline of the older parts of Istanbul with their minarets.

The third one is Selimiye (built in the name of Selim II, known as Yavuz Sultan Selim in Turkish). This one was again built by Sinan, and is located in Edirne; one of the previous capitals of the Ottoman Empire before the conquest of Constantinople (Istanbul).

Correction: The fourth, and the last one is the Blue Mosque, also known as the Sultanahmet Camii. It has 6 minarets and is known to be the last great mosque built.

The Firaxis people made a mistake by naming the city "Edrine" in the game though. I mean, if you want historical accuracy, just change it to "Edirne" from the editor, I'd recommend :)

Sorry, I knew nothing about large mosques, other than that Saint Sophia was converted to one, and the image looked sort-of like that, so I wondered aloud....

Now I can astound friends in games of trivial pursuit :)
