Hey... the thing comes from the Cabala allright... 6 is the number for imperfection and 7 is the number for perfection. For the Cabala, anything repeated 3 times is bigger, more powerful, etc. So 777 is the Messiah and 666 is the Devil. OK?

Naw, y'all are still wrong on this one. It says "the number of the beast", right? Now, when you ask "what's so-and-so's number," you're referring of course to their telephone number. Since our telephone system is run by good Christians, they avoided giving anyone the number "666," going instead straight to seven digit phone numbers.

The Book of Revelation is nothing more than Anti-Roman propaganda. 666 is numerological code for Nero, who had just ordered a major persecution of Christians (the 666/616 difference was a result of differences in how Nero's full ane was written out). The Great Whore of Babylon" is a reference to Rome.
