Civilization VI - Game of the Month 99


Welcome to the 99th game in the 6OTM Series! These games will allow new and old GOTM fans to try out the new features in Civ6 in a friendly environment. Participants are encouraged to post questions, stories, advice, tricks and failures in the dedicated game threads (described below). Each game will specify the Civ you will play and the Victory Condition to strive for. We will be working to refine the 6otM concept as we move ahead with the series. Gifting of cities is an exploit in a religious VC as the AI cant see that it will lose if it accepts the cities.


Must Read!
We would like to ask you to abide by our most sacred rule: Don’t replay any turns! If you make a mistake, accept it and try to recover. To ensure fair play and prevent results exclusions, please set your Autosaves to 1 turn. In the event of a computer crash while playing, just reload to the previous save and play it as closely to how you played it the first time. Please let Leif know (via Conversation (Private Message)) if you experienced a crash and how many turns you replayed.

Game Version: This game was created in Civ6 Gathering Storm version 1.0.6.9.
Game Requirements: vanilla version of Civilization VI with Rise and Fall and Gathering Storm expansions. All pre-New Frontier Pass (NFP) DLC Civ Packs are required, but no NFP DLCs are required.

Wilhelmina of the Netherlands Unique Attributes:

Wilhelmina's Leader Bonus: Radio Oranje: Domestic Trade Routes provide +1 Loyalty per turn for the starting city. Trade Routes sent to or received from a foreign civilization grant +1 Culture to the Netherlands..

Unique Ability: Grote Rivieren: Rivers provide a +2 adjacency bonus for Campus, Theater Square, and Industrial Zone districts. Building a Harbor triggers a Culture Bomb, claiming surrounding tiles. +50% Production towards the Dam district and Flood Barrier building.

Unique Unit: De Zeven Provinciën: replaces Frigate; unlocked by Square Rigging.
Common abilities: Has a Range of 2. Cannot attack in melee.
Special abilities: +7 Ranged Strength when attacking defensible District Districts.
Special traits: Higher Strength Combat Strength (50 vs. 45). Higher Ranged Strength (60 vs. 55).

Unique Infrastructure: Polder: Built by builder. Unlocked by Guilds.
It must be built on Coast or Lake tiles with at least three adjacent land tiles.
Effects: +1 Food; +1 Food for every adjacent Polder; +1 Production; +0.5 Housing; +4 Gold (with Civil Engineering); +2 Food for every adjacent Polder (with Replaceable Parts, replaces earlier +1 bonus); +1 Production for every adjacent Polder (with Replaceable Parts); Increases Moves Movement cost of tile to 3.

Some players like to replay the game, and although we will not record the results from a replay, you can still post your new experiences. The game will not be closed as such, but after one month, the results will be compiled, and will not necessarily be updated with reports coming in after the finish date.

I dunno if I can do it!! The Dutch? Domination?? Deity??? The three Ds! Hopefully by the weekend I'll have something to share...
 
Food, production, gold and faith. Not a bad start!

A great start. Deity, Dutch and a great start. I'm in. Will be interesting to see how close our nearest neighbour is.
 
My home country, Tthe 3 D's, how can I not participate!

The faith yields seem to indicate a Natural Wonder nearby? Settling in place looks like a good spot, so maybe Rotterdam needs to be near the wonder.

I have never played small continents. I think. So I guess the domination has to be across the sea.
 
Hello, how can I submit saves?
 
You cannot submit as we do not have the file format for the save files to create a parser, you can post the save file in the After Action thread.
