UFOs over Mexico

During 3rd period in school today we were watching CNN and it showed video footage of UFOs, last night i think, over some city in Mexico. Apparantly there were six large lights which did not belong to Mexican or US Air Force and were too big for a single plane. Does anyone know more about this?

it becomes more likely with time that advanced aliens may come looking /replying but seeing as we've only had radio for a 100 years, our transmissions are , in astronomical terms, in their infancy, ie 100 light years away they have reached, at least no known reply in the 50 light years around us, 50 there, 50 back.

however, more on topic, probably the only thing UFO about these lights is the 'U'

There are reports from all over the world. Though, UK-US (and surrounding regions) seem most common but that could be due to hightened sensitivity of the press in those regions.

China is a massive landmass, but we wouldn't hear of any sightings over there - doesn't mean people there never see anything.

Would be interesting to know if Japan frequently reports such things?
