I didn't really join in the forums at first and thats why I left for ages. Back in the good old days people only cared about post count so that they could become an archer etc. Sadly I never managed to become an archer

Oh nostalgia is always a matter of feelings and memories. Especially for members like me who are just beginning to explore this whole forum it's very interesting to see pictures like "how this whole thing started".

Ahh good old times. I would also be interested where I can find old pictures from this site. I'm an emotional guy and love such stuff.

I found this great website - http://www.archive.org

As the name suggests, it keeps archives of old versions of websites, dating back to 1996. The pictures above I took from the oldest available, which is Dec 2000.

I'm going to start a thread OT (if that's ok ) to get more traffic, as I think it's pretty interesting.

umm out of interest did you have to pay for that anjd if not why do they do it wouldnt it take a lot of time to do and another question how do they do it do they have to visit every website every day?

No, you don't have to pay.
They do it mainly by search bots - i.e. the same system that's used for storing pages in search engines.
