A complete list of changes/features that I would love to see in BE.

Hello guys. I want to post some feedback and what in my opinion I would like to see added to BE or improved on (other then the AI and Diplomacy) . Lets start. :P

Features in the game I would like to see improved or completely new ones:

1. Unit Archetypes: I find it really strange that BE is missing some base units. Like the ones that come to mind are...

Land- Tank and Anti-Air land unit
Air- A Bomber
Sea- A melee ship, Sub, and maybe a siege ship

As you can tell I would love to see naval warfare in BE to get a little more love. Lacking all these units in the base game feels weird to me and I hope to see them in the game one day.

2. Stations: I like the idea of stations, but I really feel they need a little more life to them. Right now they are just trading partners and nothing more. I think there are a few ways to address this though and they all could work.

3 Covert Ops: This one is simple. I would love to see a few more options for the Covert Ops system. One that comes to mind...because I like trolling people online, is a operation that either cancels what a city is working on or make what the city is working on take longer to produce. I just love doing that to people. :P

4 The Affinity System: Ok here the controversial part. In my opinion instead of each affinity being tied to a resource; Purity/Flaotstone, Supremacy/Firaxite, and Harmony/Xenomass, I would love to see each affinity make use of all three of them. This would be a lot of work to pull off though. I think this would be interesting and would promote a lot of fun gameplay, but I can understand if some people will not like the idea because they might like adapting to their surroundings in BE. But for me, this is a change that I would like to see and can offer a lot of new gameplay experiences.

Another thing I heard on the forums which I kind agreed with is to put more focus on leveling up an affinity through quest instead of tech. I thought that was a rather interesting suggestion. Also one more affinity would be cool cause I could think of one, but it would be slightly hard to explain.

5 Aliens: I posted my suggestions on the 2K forums here . I did not want to post it all here cause it's rather long and this thread is already going to be a big one.

6 Underwater/Sea Cities: I have a gut feeling we will see this for BE in the future, but even so I still want to post and say that I would love to see underwater cities added to BE. Though how I would like to see it added is having a...underwater layer?...which gives space to build cities. Though I know other people would like to see them on the surface of the water.

7 Make the planet feel more alive: Adding a pollution meter, weather events, and advance terraforming would be a welcome addition to the game.

That every thing I could think off of the top of my head. If there are anymore Ill update the OP. What do you guys think of some of the ideas? Hate them, love them, etc?
 
Calvary is the tank. Also, 4th tier naval ship is a siege ship for all intents and purposes. Your other suggstions are nice though.

While it's true the level 3 affinity upgrades for the Combat Rover feel more like a tank, the Combat Rover and Armor unit both feel like jeeps to me. I rather the jeeps or light vehicles be it's own unit archetype with their own upgrades and player given the option for a heavy vehicle archetype. Also yeah the tier 4 naval ships could be consider a siege ship atm, you are right on that one.

Well the early game feels like a survival situation where you don't necessarily have access to heavy armor. Perhaps affinity light armor in the mid-late game may remedy the situation.

That could work. I rather see Combat Rover have different affinity upgrades that are more jeep like and have a base tank unit that you get mid game that upgrades the unit into the affinity tanks we have now.
