A couple of noob questions

I am very new new to this version (#5) of Civ, and still have a lot of relearning to do. Hopefully the wiser and more experienced can help my progress.

1) In Civ 4 I was able to actually write on the map. I can't remember for sure what the keystrokes were -- something like alt-P -- and it marked a tile with whatever text I wanted in bright pink letters. Can I do this in 5, and how?

2) The second problem is even more vexing. If I leave the game for a few minutes, the cursor goes wonky and appears to be higher (about 1/2 inch) than what it is really pointing at. Fixable?

1) That is not possible as far as I know, I miss it as well. It was quite good for planning out how to settle the land. Thankfully in this version I rarely build more than 3 or 4 cities, so I manage without.

2) That happens to me when my screensaver kicks in. When it happens I Alt-Tab in and out of the game and it is back to normal.
I guess hitting the windows key and going back into the game will also work.

I do not think that you can do that in ciV. A shame really.
