I've sat the bench for four years straight on a High school basketball team I've gotten a commission from the US Army
and above all that I've found a woman who is actually loyal, I’ve also done all that in 22 years, and in 3 more I’m going to win the US chess championship. Right after I write the book on Civ3.

The conversation stopped here because, well it was over, I'm pretty sure Az thought I was a Loon by now, to bad, because it really brought out some of my deepest knowledge, and thus I was compelled to post it.

That is - sadly - as I suspected. But do you think it's OK to broadcast the contents of a private conversation without getting permission from all parties involved? Remind me not to chat with you! I believe a conversation should remain private unless everyone agrees it should be public. Honour and common courtesy dictate that to me.

This is not an attack... but I think Stormern is right... It's just like not being able to use a recording in the courts without the party knowing they were being recorded... that is why you couldn't convict sombody of a crime (even if you had thier confession on tape!) if they confessed to you without the knowlage of your taping them. Wow!!! That got slighty off topic... um, erm... Ok, my opinion: Fate, to a slight extent, is not changable... we are going to die at some point.. that is evident. What you do before that is up to you... it is not woven on a loom by three sisters with only one eye... it is not written down in a book. If I decide to run a cat over, it wasn't MEANT to happen it just happened. That's just my two cents.

Yeah I guess you are right.
One thing is sure I would never do that.
But I don't know why, in this case it ddn't bother me a lot. Maybe because I didn't see it imediatelly...

But generally speaking, yes this is not a thing to do.

Well, I am sorry to see this dishonour of publishing this private conversation. I must say I am not surprised. Thunderfall did the same thing to me in publishing our conversation over ICQ on the website. I guess people just are selfish and just want to prove thier point. It's easy to get caught up in having to be "right " I suppose. The is probably the biggest vice of humanity. All of us, certainly me included, need to learn to practice humility. We need to shut down the output for a while and let ourselves absorb reality. If we constantly are pouring out our oppinions of people and things then we really have no oppinion at all because we havn't slowed down to let the reality set in.

Johan did most of the talking anyway...lol Only for friendship reasons, should he have asked Az first. People have different definitions of honor & common courtesy. . .the thought that this would cause a disturbance in the force probably never crossed his mind.

I hope everyone in here realizes that whatever you say in email, chat, or on the internet in general, may be subject to public viewing! Think of all the people you've chatted with. . .who knows what sort of log or history file has been saved. That's the way the cookie crumbles. . .

No reply- although he was currently online still on ICQ. Now On a further note I’m not trying to downgrade or undermine AZ in anyway, he is one of my best friends here on CIVFAN, I'm only here to educate you in what I know and some of what I believe, but of course you can take from it what you will, I was just hoping I could continue the discussion on the course that AZ had drawn upon the map of debate, but instead we got caught up in the principle of my post being politically correct, this my friends parallels the term "red tape" in government.
Now once again, would any one really like to discuss the position of reality related in the realm of existence?

I have no objection to your post, I only point out that there are options if people feel their privacy has been violated.

Your answer is akin to my saying to you, when you are not about, "I'm going to publish your diary, do you mind? If you don't answer, I'll take that as a yes".
Hardly fair or sporting.

I also find nothing objectionable in the text, but that's not my call, it falls withen the perview of Az if he wishes it to stand or not.

And your still going on about privacy rights, Can ANYONE here get over IDENTITY and move on into the discussion?
We are still stuck on Identity and whether this post should've been posted, well it was, and AZ himself has said that he didn't want it retracted, if he did he could've just told you to delete it Alcibiaties of Athenae. My concern is that we haven't even begun to discuss the text of the conversation yet; I posted it because it is the typical conversation on this topic and I'd like to discuss it further. So please get off the privacy issue, I don't think that it is important to either AZ or myself.
