A game like Freelancer, but not Freelancer.

I've been playing Freelancer for a while now and while I think it's one of "teh best games evaar" it's getting a bit old, I've visited all the systems a few times over, read the rumors and so on and so forth. Thus I find myself looking for a game that provides similar gameplay, but I need some recommendations.

So, what would you suggest for a game that is like Freelancer, but not Freelancer?

It is my understanding that Freelancer is pretty much the Pinnacle of Elite like games....

X3 The Reuinion (make srue you get 2.0+ so that Starforce is removed). Although to be honest I havn't gotten aronud to learning how to play it yet, it's a lot more complex than Freelancer with an actual economy and much more dynamic world.
