I have been trying to make ColGold as complete as humanly possible and I am getting to that inevitable point where I had to make notes for myself so I wouldn't duplicate my work. So, I started a list of colonization efforts and it soon became something else. I'm not sure what it is, but it is no longer a list of what I will be adding to ColGold.

Obviously, since I will not be adding all of the things listed, I figured that it might be useful to post here for the benefit of other modders. I know that this has been done before, but not necessarily in the same context or covering the same span of time or regions that I decided to allow for possible inclusion.

Please keep in mind that the list is far from complete. There were hundreds (if not thousands) of poorly documented legitimate and rogue colonization efforts, and many of the rogue colonization efforts may not have been documented at all.

By the late 1400s, the number of individuals involved in these fishing expeditions may have exceeded 300 men. By the 1480s, there were Norman-French slavers actively at work in the New England region.

Extra-terrestrials (varying dates)
- need I say more?
Absolutely, please do! :scan:;) (careful though, the Men in Black are watching! :mischief::assimilate::p)

seriously though, since you do also know a good amount about claims of "fringe" archaeology I'd be interested in any interesting tidbits you'd come across about various wild claims or beliefs re this. In the 2071 mod I tried to incorporate various colorful conspiracy theories or reports as part of the backstory; and got some good material from wikipedia articles on alien sightings etc adding some nice tongue-in-cheek Fortean flavor for the pedia. the kookier and more bizarre the better, I say! :scan::)

I did not forget to think of you when I was crawling through all the fringe material. There is one in particular that I regarded with the proper seriousness, but I cannot find much about it. It's mentioned in the end notes of two masters theses at the university ("Limitations of Pharmacotherapy in the Treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder in Combat Veterans" (1976) and "Common Themes in the Confabulation of Patients with Dissociative Disorders (revised)" (1979)). The these were both written by psychology candidates and both relate to interviews with the same patient at the local VA hospital. The interviewee is unnamed, but the similarity of the two stories is such that I believe it was the same patient. What there is to tell is this:

There are two parallel dimensions inhabited by human-like aliens. These aliens have access to Earth via separate gates (my term). The aliens are both capable of breeding with Earth humans, and supposedly this accounts for the racial characteristics of various regions. The "Daimons" come to Earth via the Bermuda Triangle and are responsible for all the pyramid-building cultures and the source of all the Atlantis myths.

Bigfoot comes into this as the progenitor race of modern humans, which the two alien races "up-lift" by interbreeding.

The Daimons are tall, robust, and tawny to ruddy in complexion. They are not all goodness and light, but they are supposedly better masters than the other aliens (named "Luciferians" in the 1976 document, and "Alba" in the 1979 document). Teaching the humans things like writing, construction, and agriculture.

In the 1976 document, the Luciferians are tall, pale, and and slightly built. In the 1979 document, the Alba are tall, pale, and emaciated because their world has suffered an ecological disaster. In both documents they are mentioned as the source of all modern technology on earth.

All fairly straight forward UFO conspiracy theory stuff so far. Right?

But this is where it gets nutty. The Luciferians/Alba were allies of the Nazis during WWII and are responsible for all the technological advances of the Nazis. The secret "real" objective of Operation Paperclip was to locate or make contact with the alien allies of the Nazis. Supposedly, while Richard Nixon was vice president for Eisenhower, he negotiated a treaty with the Luciferians/Alba and an artificial gate was built for their use. This being the Pentagon, which was constructed on such a huge scale to hide the elaborate machinery that controls the gate.

Eisenhower and Nixon then began using Luciferian/Alba technologists to construct another facility "in the desert" -- the interviewee stress that it is not Area 51, claiming that Area 51 is only a red herring created to keep weak-minded people off the "real" site, the location of which he will or does not reveal. The purpose of this secret site is to "melt the North and South Pole" so they can transport water from Earth to the world of the Luciferians, which is the payment the Luciferians/Alba require for their cooperation. (I assume this relates to the ecological disaster).

The Daimons are opposed to all of this and "sometime in the 60s" began working with the Communists (1976), Democrats (1979) and FBI (1976 and 1979) to thwart the plan, resulting in the hippie movement. Which resulted in the Vietnam War, to reduce the number of hippies (1976) or to keep the people distracted from the truth (1979).

"Nixon didn't go to China and Russia to make peace, he went to get them to get in on the plan." (1976)

"Nixon resigned because the Luciferians/Alba told him to. He was no longer useful to them, they had picked another who could get the job of keeping people 'unfocused' done better: Ronald Reagan." (1979)

Although never clearly stated, one assumes that Reagan was in on the plan.

Following his resignation, Nixon was taken to the Luciferian/Alba home world and they "did an operation on him and put new organ in him, one humans don't have a name for" that made him immortal. So that "when the time was right" he could start Armageddon.... which would be just another distraction so people wouldn't notice that the water was being stolen.

So, circa 1979, Richard M. Nixon was immortal and a mastermind in the plan to steal water from Earth for "aliens".

But the Daimons would soon be bringing an army of sasquatch from their home world to destroy the real secret base.

And that my friend, is the "real" reason the ice caps are melting :crazyeye:

I forgot to mention that my friend in the School of Psychology said as of 1998 there was a Geocities page that expounded most of this or a nearly identical conspiracy theory, so I think that this one may have escaped containment and now be loose in the wild.

aah I shoulda known! :scan::D Nixon was right, he was not a crook. It was his immortal alien organs that approved the Watergate break-in. (though he appears to have died years ago, this too was a coverup & he is now sunning himself on the Alba homeworld) :borg::goodjob:
