I'm an old Civ player (real old!) and have every version ever made. I've really come to love Civ 5 G&K. Now that BNW is out, could you guys give me your opinions of which is the better expansion? In other words, is BNW worth getting? I've been combing posts everywhere on these boards to glean opinions but it would be super to get some opinions targeted just to this question.

I tend to want to warmonger and I've noticed that some of you have said that BNW really de-emphasizes that. Is the whole tone of the game changed now?

Really appreciate any and all opinions! Thanks in advance!

In BNW you will find that you receive the negative diplomacy hit from warmongering very quickly by comparison to G&K. Other than that there are many improvements to the overall game that make it worth getting. If you like warmongering, the Zulu and Assyria civs would be pretty fun for you.

G&K was more important, but BNW makes the end-game experience a lot more fun. Besides, the new civs are awesome. My only complaint is that there was only one scenario, instead of three in G&K.

BNW is worth buying.

I don't play BNW. Though many of the changes made seem positive, I have an allergy to geek purists who feel compelled to revamp a game so that abuses by some players are eliminated. Surely they could have found a better way to stop people from the sell/DoW abuse...
