Hello all. None of you know this, but I love maps. I don't know why. I created a little thing in paint to play with when I'm bored which is basically an Earth map where I created a bunch of countries, then I just update em, expanding wars, etc. For reasons unknown, it's fun to me. So, usually I'm playing forum games, not hosting em, so now for something completely different.

I'm sure many of you know about RFMK or Reclaiming the World or BOAE. This game is going to be similar to those, but with one difference. No stats. I'm not keeping track of them secretly, there just are no stats. So how do you play? Well, below is a blank Earth map (caution, it's big). At the beginning of this game, whoever wants to play can pick a location on the map, go into paint, and create their own nation. I don't care what your location is, as I will be one of the players myself. You could start in Antarctica or the Sahara for all I care. Just not water. Once one week has passed, the game starts. This game, as I said before has no stats. Instead, this game is completely up to you. Confused? Don't blame ya. Basically, you just expand on the map, declare war, do whatever. Still confused? Don't worry. Below are some sample orders.
Expand into the following area, shown on map by black line.

Yes, orders can be that simple. However, there are catches. If you do something insane, like conquer a nation who is obviously much bigger than you, or if you colonize all of Antarctica, your orders will be ignored, and something very, very bad will happen to you. However, stories help. Like all humans, I enjoy stories. If you send me a good story, I may allow you to do more than what you should be able to.
Some order advice: It will make it much easier on my internet if you cut out all areas which are not in your orders via paint.
Remember, stories are good.
Orders may be PMed to me or posted on public.
If you can, please please please please please include a map of what your empire should look like at the end of the turn.

Got it? If not, ask questions. Starting help on next post.

So, you starting out, eh? You came to the right place. Now, to start out, simply copy paste the below map into paint or any other image editing software, choose a color, and create your nation. You can start anywhere, and my own personal nation should give you an estimate of how large they should be. Also, include a capital city and its name. Simple, right? If you need help, questions. The updates will start next week. You can still sign-up after though you may be at a slight disadvantage.
NOTE: This game starts in 4000 B.C, so no Giant Death Robots. Sorry.

Just a suggestion but if you want to be taken as a serious Game Moderator I don't recommend that you both moderate the game and also participate in it. It might be seen as a potential conflict of interest. Hope this goes well, love these games.

Actually, I'm gonna be in it to show what an average nation would be. I'm gonna purposely make myself be the middle of the class to show about what's average. Also, my first few expansions could help out for people who don't really get how much they could expand. I'll be showing it as someone who does a few stories, maybe 3 or 4 sentences long.
EDIT: Ronin, also, please don't keep the entire map. It's not that hard. Go into paint or other image editing program, use select tool, make box around required area, and click cut.

I definitley want in on this. Sounds pretty awesome. Smart of you to take the Lower Mississippi and the Louisiana delta. I will be trading you for shrimp to make my Gumbo. Count on that, mythmonster. There is trading in this game, right? And how fast is time going to pass?

I'll be ambitious and claim the Northeast United States, on the same continent as the Texas nation. And I, for the life of me, can't figure out how to make that little capital symbol, but it's the black square.

I just chose the biggest circle option then zoomed in all the way and outlined the borders of the circles with red, or white for you, I guess..

EDIT: Turns are 50 years each. For now.
EDIT 2: Sorry, I'm not going full lazy-NES on this because, even in summer, my time is limited, so everything I explain in the OP is the rules. That's it. You could trade in spirit though, or you could make alliances, which will obviously help you.

That seems fair I guess. I just wanted to know how much liberty to take with technology. Anyway, my country's color is red, so can I just leave the capital the way it is?

No trading? Aw man, rats.

Brainstorm: Why don't we each design our own flags for our nations?

Fixed up the capital, I just edited my original post. Looks a little better.

Don't worry, I already got it up on the main map, though it may have magically moved a little to the west.

Where's the main map? Are you holding back on that until you've got a few more people?

That map's just fine now, myth.

The official flag of Gumboland.

OK, all are fine, but I'm on a different computer and it might take a bit to get you on the map, tailess.
