I know we're fair from culture victory (and even if a civ were to come close to winning, we have domination on our side), but this is just to spice things up a bit... Vets know the routine... (besides, it's gonna be a LONG wait until culture victory comes...) Oh, and no flaming/trolling please.

1 - "Luckiest Break": What do you say our luckiest break has been?
a. Our seafaring trait? (Allowed us to meet everyone early on)
b. Having a tech lead for virtually the entire game?
c. Having a weaker civ next to us as a stepping stone to the Dutch (then a runaway civ)?
d. The Dutch declaring war on a civ half way across the panagaea, which bought us conquering time?
e. About a dozen or so Dutch swords LOSING when attacking our swords?
f. The AI's chaotically settled land in the middle of the pangaea?

2 - Lowest moment": What made it look like we were gonna lose?
a. Our early lack of culture?
b. The Dutch attacking us early on?
c. Cities starting to flip to the AI?

3 - Turning Point: At which point did the game start to shift in our favor?
a. Indian War?
b. Dutch War?
c. 2nd Indian/Dutch War?
d. Spanish War?
e. French War?
f. Other War?

4 - Point of No Return: At which point did we have the game in hand?
a. Total conquest of the Dutch?
b. Controlling 1/3rd of the pangaea?
c. Overcoming the French and their culture?
d. Other?

5 - Epic Tales: (this one harkens back to demogames past) What was the best storyline and/or roleplay of this demogame?

6 - Favorite War: Which war was your favorite?
a. Indian War?
b. Dutch War?
c. Spanish War?
d. French War?
e. Other Wars?

7 - Best Quote: Yet another thing that harkens back to old demogames. Where there any quotes that stuck out that you liked?

8 - Most Ingenious Strategy:

a. Bait & Switch -- allowing the Dutch to send their units half-way across the world before attacking?
b. Our use of ICS (rare in the demogame).
c. Curragh. Sweet and simple.
d. Other.

9 - Greatest Province: Which province was the greatest? (unfortunately, we only had 2 this game, and I told you to make them smaller! ;))

Never thought we would.

3 - Turning Point: At which point did the game start to shift in our favor?

b. Dutch War.

4 - Point of No Return: At which point did we have the game in hand?

d. Other: when we took Amsterdam. It was at least going to be hard to loose from that point on.

5 - Epic Tales: (this one harkens back to demogames past) What was the best storyline and/or roleplay of this demogame?

There is only one in the main forum AFAIK, and I never looked at the RPG forum. Even if there was competition, I would guess the Oxford thread would still rank very high. Keep it up, please!

6 - Favorite War: Which war was your favorite?

b. Dutch War.
The first one. The only really exciting war we had, I think. The only one we could possibly have lost.

7 - Best Quote: Yet another thing that harkens back to old demogames. Where there any quotes that stuck out that you liked?

ditto.

8 - Most Ingenious Strategy:

d. Other: making phony alliances to slow the AI's. It's not really ingenious, but very effective.

9 - Greatest Province: Which province was the greatest? (unfortunately, we only had 2 this game, and I told you to make them smaller! ;))

Middle-Earth all the way :D. See the province thread for a list of its achievements.

Well, I didn't realize people read the Bulletin. I guess I'll have to update it later today with tales of Shylock and the First Oxfordian Bank, why in the world did we build a cathedral if we're Jewish?, have fun opressing the masses with your very own factory, we're number three (repeat for most statistics) and "can we get a friggin Great Wonder already?"

look for it later today. heck, if anyone feels like writing an article for the DGs sole city newspaper, feel free to contribute.

Never seriously thought we'd lose, although it did take us a little time to agree on order of battles (early, brief war against Japan; then the Dutch, etc.)

When we took the Dutch iron city.

Once we stopped building defensive units and concentrated on cranking out offensive units (about midway through the Dutch war).

8 - Most Ingenious Strategy:
Our use of entangling alliances. Pretty standard stuff, but the MAs worked perfectly in this game.
