A New Dawn on Earth and the Space Adventure

Hi, guys. The mod looks awesome, count me in!

I'd like to play as Masinissa of Carthage.

Regarding the mod version, I'm experiencing the same problem: I can play the mod (first link) fine, but when I install the 1.75 patch, it crashes.

Ok friends, we have a problem! Like related by Nighthawk and Agravaine, if you install the main file (first link) the mod runs fine, but after the installation of the 1.75C patch, the game crashes.

For some reason the link I have posted was for 2.0 version, and like posted on the game description, this version is under development yet and have several bugs and new things added each week. So it is better to play with the 1.75C Version that is a stable and finished project.

Yes, it was my fault! Sorry for the extra work! But now we have to redownload the files on the links (already with the correct versions), and reinstall the files. Firstly the main mod file and then the 1.75C Patch.

It is very important delete the previous version installed before install the new. If you want maintain it, rename the folder of the new files installed to "Rise of Mankind - A New Dawn 1.75C". It will avoid installation conflicts.

It is very important, delete the files "Civilization IV.ini" and "Civilization IV.ini.bak" on the folder "C:\Users\...\Documents\My Games\beyond the sword".

Please, perform that procedure and notify me if everything runs ok with everyone!

That's funny, I haven't noticed any problems with the versions that you initially linked to. Anyhow, to be on the safe side, I will reinstall as you direct.

Also, after looking over the many new leaders, I've changed my mind -- I'll go with Sejong of Korea instead of Peter.

It seems to work, though with a minor glitch: I was able to build mines on forested\jungle hills before I discovered either bronze working or iron working. The option to chop was unavailable but the option to build a mine still worked.

Anyhow, I'm ready to go!

I think this is not a glitch. The idea is: the men did not need bronze working to destroy a forest or a jungle if they already dominated the fire. But the forest only will return hammers to the city if bronze working has been discovered.
The mod brings several new concepts.

Hi Friends!

As I posted before, I will be travelling next two weeks. I will return on April,24. After that, we will start the game, ok?

Have good testing days!

Regards.

Only got round to looking at the Mod. It is amazing. I downloaded it and the patch.

I would like to play if there is room bearing in mind earlier comments about keeping numbers down so as to keep reasonable playing speed.

I had to smile at some of the new traits, especially deceitful.
