a NOOB question

I have downloaded MODS and extrcted them where they aremeant to be extracted loaded them and my CIV version change to their mod name now what im curious about is why cant i see the new civ in the mod i have loaded. any help will he great thanks

unzip the mod to

C:/Program files/Firaxis Game/Civilization 4/ Mods/

to play the mod, launch the game normaly then go to 'Advance' -> 'Load Mod' and select the mod. You can also modify Civ4.ini to launch the mod automaticaly.

When you start Civ4, one of the options in the opening screen is "Advanced." Select that, then in the next screen select "Load a Mod." Select the mod you want (there are several). Civ may require reloading, there'll be a window that will tell you and offer you the choice to reload or not.

BTW, some of the really big mods like Fall from Heaven can take a couple of minutes to reload.

ok i have already done what you guys told me then after loading at the upper right corner of the screen now i can see CIVGold.110 and the CIVILIZATION letters turns to blue whick means i have succesfully loaded the mod right??
But when i click play now and selected maps and etc. its time to select the leaders but i still only got the basic 18 leaders or country which means the country/leaders included in the mod was not there.
BTW i extracted it to drive D cause that is where my CIV is i hope idoesnt really matter where i extract the file right can u guys help me pleaseeeee

Read Lord Olleus post again. The mod must be unzipped to that folder.
