a picture from reality

This makes absolutely no sense to me. The U.S. and Isreal want peace. This is not funny, though. At least I don't think it is. What is the point of military, if it can't be used for defense? :confused: This is nothing towards you Gerry, but that is ridiculus.
 
The USA haven't bin in a defensiv war since WW2 and before that the civil war.(in my eyes these are the onley defensive wars)
I don't think offensive wars are wrong if there is a reason.
(exampel afghanistan)

I fail to see the point. The USA and Israel aren't trying to start wars, they're trying to finish them. Who draws these cartoons anyway?

Or maybe they just have a different opinion. I also don't find it funny, but it doesn't offend me either....it just seems like it would belong better in a politcal thread. :)
 
While it'd be silly to say it is completely untrue it is definately ridiculous to show Arafat boiling in a pot helpless. If they had put more thought into this then it might be effective. Though, if they had put more thought into it, it wouldn't be a stupid political cartoon.

How can Afghanistan be an offensive war when the US attacked it only after being attacked?

Anyway this cartoon is stupid as it's only target is to offend. There's no constructive criticism in it - it doesn't say how the US and Israel "kill" peace - it just say we do. It doesn't offer anything to the viewer, when a good political cartoon should say what the drawer thinks should be done.
 
I also didn't find it all that funny but what I did find funny was a cartoon of a similar theme on the UK TV show 2D-TV where Ariel Sharon (sp?) copes with a chip (fries to ameicans) pan fire. And procedes to try and put it out buy: striking mathces and throwing them in, pouing parifin onto it and than using a flmethrower on it :crazyeye: untill hs whole house burnt down : THAT was funny and made a point :eek:
